An ever expanding archive celebrating the 1960's and 1970's Liverpool based merseybeat group, "The Ferrymen"
The Ferrymen were a 3 piece Rock n
Roll outfit from Liverpool who were a regular attracton on the club
scene of the 1960's. Appearing all over the North West of England, the
band were regular headliners at clubs from Barrow to Burnley, West
Derby
to West Houghton, and the famous Cavern Club.
Along with many of their contempories
on the merseybeat scene, The Ferrymen appeaed alongside the big names
of the day like Gerry and the Pacemakers, Cilla Black and of course,
the Beatles. The group eveloved from is original incarnation as the
Pegasus 4, via Ogi, The Pilgrims and The Flintstones to its final 3
piece line up of Alan Millington, Keith Crellin and Len Holden.
The purpose of the site is to record the
history of the band for posterity with an archive of information and
material. We would also love to hear from anyone with memories of
Ferrymen performances, photographs or even audio recordings.
